Goal templates
Goal templates: Start From Done
Pick the goal closest to yours. Each template is written as already done, names one thing that could stop you, and works backward to a step for this week. You edit every line before you save.

How the templates work
- Pick the closest goal. The template fills the new goal screen in the app with a done statement, an if-then plan and backward milestones.
- Make it yours. Change any word before you save. The words are a starting draft, not a script.
- Start at the bottom. The last milestone is this week's step. Give it one 45 minute sprint, or a 10 minute start if the day is full.
Questions
What is in a goal template?
A done statement written in the past tense, one obstacle with an if-then plan for it, and five backward milestones from the finish line to a first step this week.
Do I have to use the words as written?
No. The template only fills the form in the app. Change the done statement, the obstacle, the plan and any milestone before you save, and any time after.
Does picking a template send my goal anywhere?
No. The template words are built into the app and fill the form on your device. Your journal stays on your device unless you choose to share it. Share only what you choose: invite a friend as your witness for accountability, and they can invite you back.
